Your wedding ceremony is custom designed and written just for you - no cookie cutter "run of the mill" ceremonies here! I provide a full draft of your wedding ceremony for review and approval and offer email and phone access before your wedding day. If necessary, I bring an assistant to insure everything flows smoothly.
Personalized Vows
When composing your own vows, remember who you're vowing to. In otherwords, you know your partner better than anyone else. You know the things that make him feel loved, appreciated, honored and adored. So those are the things you should vow. Now, they can be simple things like if it's important to your partner that you get up early Saturday and walk the dog, then that's what you should vow. That may be over simplified, but you get the idea. For the gooms; you know what makes your bride-to-be feel beautiful! Vow those to her.Wine Box and love letter Ceremony
I have my couples write love letters to each other and keep them private. A bottle of wine is especially chosen for this occasion - perhaps one that has meaning as in a time and place the couple met, became engaged, or fell in love. The wine, two glasses, and the love letters are sealed in a beautiful box. I instruct the couple to open the box on their fifth anniversary, drink the wine, and read the letters to each other. The box is refreshed with new letters and wine for the next time of rememberance.Bride/Honoring Your Mother and new Mother-In-Law
On the way down the aisle, before taking her place beside the groom, the bride pauses and presents both her mother and her soon-to-be mother-in-law with special lace handkerchiefs embroidered with details of the occasion.Blending Families
Ideas on Including children if you are blending two families.Friendship Circle
This spin on a Quaker tradition is ideal for a smaller wedding. Guests are invited to form a circle together with the bride and groom, and are asked to share their thoughts on the couple (you may want to ask one or two guests to prepare their thoughts ahead of time, in order to break the ice). Not only is this a great way for guests to get to know one another, but it gives the bride and groom a few moments to enjoy the presence of their loved ones.Special Note:
When your ceremony is prepared with care and love, whatever happens during the ceremony itself (dropping the rings, flubbing your lines, etc.), becomes part of the magic and joy of the moment and contributes to the specialness of your day. So have fun, be creative and enjoy the process of creating your ceremony.Unique, Memorable Rituals

Bride and Groom to the Immediate Family This involves the entire immediate family with the wedding and allows them to be a part of wedding ceremony where the two families become one. Depending on how many leis you will need have one or two flower girls that will hold the leis and bring them up when needed. After the ring exchange call your special family members forward by name and have them come up to receive leis. At this time the flower girl(s) bring the leis to the Bride and Groom. Before the Bride and Groom adorns the family members in leis make a statement to the attendees of your love for your family and your looking forward to your new life together as one a family, or something of that nature to make your family feel special and loved. The Bride and Groom then adorn the family members in leis. This is a popular ceremony for marriages when the Bride and/or Groom brings children from a prior relationship into the marriage.Marriage License Information
